WHAT TO EXPECT

Everyone is welcome at Christian Fellowship Temple.

Whether you are simply seeking what it means to know God, or are looking for a new church home, we're glad you're here.

Our services are every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Join us in the sanctuary and make yourself at home. If you have children, you are more than welcome to bring them with you to the worship service, or take them to God's Kids Nursery.
ATTIRE

People often ask, "What should I wear to church?" Don't worry! When you arrive, you will find people dressed in all kinds of attire. There are those who like to dress up a bit to come to church, but there are also those who are comfortable in their every-day gear. Come and be comfortable. We are about worshipping God, not worrying about how we look!

WORSHIP

Worship usually begins with several songs sung by our choir, in which people may stand or choose to sit. The lyrics will be projected on a screen so everyone can follow along. If you know the songs, sing with us! If not, just relax and enjoy the experience.

FELLOWSHIP

As a time of transition during worship, we have a "time of fellowship." Don't let it scare you—our people are just friendly and will want to come and shake your hand and welcome you to CFT.

OFFERING

During most services we will have a time of offering. This is when those who are regular attenders give their tithes and offerings as a part of their worship to God, and to help support the ministries of the church. Visitors are welcome to participate, but are certainly not expected to do so.

SERMON

The pastor will usually preach a sermon. This is a teaching lesson, taking scripture verses from the Bible and applying them to our own lives. If you have a Bible, you are welcome to bring it with you. These days, a lot of people use e-versions of Bibles in their phones and other electronic devices. If you don’t have any of these, don’t worry—the Pastor will read the Scripture as well.

PRAYER

There may be a time during the service when the pastor invites people to come down front to an altar for a special time of prayer. This is not required, but should you desire someone to pray with you, you are always welcome.

COMMUNION

Some Sundays we will partake in Communion. You don't have to be a member of the church to take part. This is a good time to reevaluate where you are in your spiritual walk. Maybe you feel like you need to recommit to the Lord; taking part in Communion may become this affirmation. Simply listen to the instructions given by the pastor and, as a confessed follower of Christ, you are welcome to participate.
